Fresh Air and Fresh Starts
Rising with the sun is 100 times easier when you can actually see the sun
Hello everyone!
How has your week been?
Great non-writing news over here! The scaffolding that’s been all over the apartment building and blocking the windows is…well it’s sill there. BUT they’ve removed the boards that held the balcony entrance closed so I can actually step outside and get a really good view of the scaffolding up close.
Still, it’s a start and I couldn’t be happier to get some fresh air into the place after nearly two months of moving in.
To celebrate the fresh breeze I’ve been deep-cleaning everything. OK, it’s a boring way to celebrate but it needed to be done. The old-time radio dramas I’ve downloaded certainly make the task easier. My favorites are Suspense and The Shadow. They are over the top, and ridiculous and I love them.

Another thing I’ve been battling is my self-imposed jet-lag. I’m naturally a night owl and find that my most creative hours are between 10 at night to 3 in the morning. This is not optimal and I’ve been trying to change, but it is hard. I envy those who seem like they just came out of the womb at 5 in the morning and kept getting up at that time for the rest of their lives. I’m determined to get it right though.
After another 5 minutes, I swear.

Before I give you some links to funny stories I wanted to send an extra big thanks to all of you who were kind enough to donate to my buy me a coffee (Ko-fi) page. It meant a lot and will help keep me caffeinated during those early hours when I’m tempted to return to the warmth of my bed.

And now…

Other writers I enjoy:
Ella Figg is a newer writer but her piece where cats give productivity advice has everything I love in a funny cat post.
Sarah Lofgren is a fantastic artist and humorist who has more than a few amazing pieces up on Medium. Check out her hilarious billion dollar idea involving clown sharks.
That’s it for now. Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter!
