Emergency Road Trips, An Awesome Mom, and a Meetup
Life throws curveballs but sometimes they lead to friends and grass
Hello everyone!
A few updates
-Over the weekend I went for a long road trip in order to see my dad, who had a medical emergency. He’s doing better, but is in physical therapy to regain some movement. I’m thankful I got to see him.

-I tasted toasted caramel whiskey. Now I can finally have a glass of whiskey with a cigar as I ponder why love is pain and tap aggressively away at my SOON-TO-BE GREAT AMERICAN NOVEL.

-My feet touched grass for the first time in months! I miss the joys of a real yard. Though not the maintenance. There is a “park” in my apartment complex. I think I shall start to draw there on days when it’s not too hot. And yes, those are tan lines, I don’t own sandals and go on a 30-minute walk to the grocery store a few times a week.

-I have finally realized why everyone kept highlighting “effect” in my writing and it was because I’ve been using it wrong since the beginning of time.

-I get to meet one of my writing buddies who happens to live near where I’m staying. It’s very exciting! We cowrote (along with another funny writer) one of my favorite pieces of humor. Click here or the image below if you’d like to read it!

-My mom is amazing which really shouldn’t be an update, since I knew that already. But here is a picture I have sketched of her in her garden.

Also, in case you are wondering, she is the one who gave me every ounce of creativity I have. I mean look at these birdhouses she just painted because she felt like it:

In case you need a laugh, here is another story (beside the cowritten one) you may enjoy:
This woman would do anything for her children as long as it doesn’t affect her lifestyle brand.

Thank you for reading!
