Hello everyone!
Let’s try something different today! (Link to comic at end of post)

What I’m reading: Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant
This book is sci-fi horror and absolutely terrifying. I will not spoil it for you but I will say that it turns mermaids into the monstrous creatures that the early myths made them out to be. I cared about the characters and was on edge of my seat during scenes when they were in danger.
What I’m eating: Anchovies
I did not eat anchovies when I was a child. Now I can’t get enough. Lately I’ve been finding new ways to use anchovies in different dishes since we have several cans left in our cupboard and I’m trying to avoid going out to the store for at least another week.
What I’m drawing: Plants
It’s for an x-rated humor piece. Will share soon.
What am I listening to? Gravy
The podcast Gravy is about food (traditional and new) in the South. Solid reporting and excellent storytelling make it a regular in my weekly listen lists.
What am I struggling with? Cleaning
It’s somehow messier in my house now that my partner and I are cooking and living here 24-7. The mess builds up faster (especially in kitchen) and I’m procrastinating with tidying up more than I used to.
Where do I go when I leave the house? Fancy courtyards in other peoples’s buildings
They’ve blocked all the benches in the pubic yard areas. However the benches within the separate complexes are free. I can sneak into nicer buildings with my key card and walk through the gardens, eventually settling down to read by the fountains, absorbing the sunshine that’s been shinning on our area of late. A half hour outside does me a world of good.
Want to see a comic? Click here to see one of my earlier comics from the Dating Dead Philosopher series. This one is about Freud and why you wouldn’t want him as a partner in an Escape Room.
Thanks for reading! Do you enjoy posts like this? Let me know in comments below if you do or do not. Or tell me what your are reading, eating, or struggling with right now.
Have a wonderful evening!

Thanks for the book and podcast recommendation. I’m reading The Hunger by Alma Katsu. It’s a horror story based on the Donner party tragedy. I can’t get enough Horror lately, it’s distracting and makes me grateful that at least we don’t have to dodge zombies. (Yet.)
1. Reading Guffaw!
2. Eating sunflower nuts because...just because.
3. I thought you were drawing cannabis (Hmm...)
4. one ear hears a flushing toilet; the other a song sparrow through yonder window
5. Can't vacuum often enough (where the Hell does this dust come from?)
6. Leave the house? Are you kidding? If Covid doesn't find me on its own, the pro-death right-wing anti-establishment "patriots" will...
*Holding the cannabis for later. It IS 420 today!
