This week has been full of job interviews. Not a process anyone enjoys. Still, there is something to be said about enjoying the journey. This can be an especially long journey if one depends on public transportation in a city that isn’t famous for its public transportation. But if you keep your eyes open you might spot something that sparks unexpected joy.
For example, while waiting for the light rail back home, I happened to look over my shoulder and see this:

Oh. My. God.
For a brief moment I wondered if the neighborhood was plagued by trolls. Or gentrified by trolls, as the downtown rent was atrociously high.

But the sensible, boring part of my brain made me walk closer to makes sure.

So no trolls or job offers this week. On a bright note lots of writing and online classes have been completed. And who knows? Maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day.
Though I’m not sure I’d want to meet an actual troll. Especially one who judged me for my non-organic food choices.
Here are some links to funny stories you might enjoy:

Sometimes you need a more realistic cookbook when you’re in the kitchen.

Those ten alarms you hear in the morning have a purpose!

Are you his girlfriend or just a guest on his podcast? Take this quiz and find out.

Marie Kondo has her work cut out for her when she pays a visit to Miss Havisham.

You love fairy tales, but would you love them if they were interrupted by ads every 10 minutes?
Other writers I enjoy:
Roy has been creating original comics and humorous posts for as long as I’ve been on Medium. He never fails to delight, even when writing about more serious subjects like his battle with alcoholism that will resonate with anyone who has, or has known someone, who battled their addiction.
Hassan S. Ali is one of the more unique humorists I follow. His sharp wit makes it impossible to not laugh at bizarrely accurate posts, like this one written from the point of view of your last free New York Times article for that month.
As always thank you for reading!
